Timothy John Wagner, 60

Timothy (Tim) (Skip) John Wagner, 60, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin after a five-month battle with cancer.

Tim was born May 18, 1958, in Austin, Minnesota, to David and Muriel (Hemann) Wagner. The fourth of five children, Tim grew up in Austin, graduated from Pacelli High School and attended the University of Minnesota.

On March 20, 1993, he married Pamela Kay Youngmark. The couple raised their daughters, Lisa and Amy, in Austin and cared for their grandson, Gabe. For the past seven years, Tim dedicated himself to the care and well-being of Pam, who became disabled in 2011. His love and commitment were an inspiration to all.

Tim was a co-owner of Wagner Construction Company of Austin, a family business started by his grandfather, Nicholas Wagner, and passed down from his father, David. He took great pride in his work and shared his building skills with friends and family.

Tim loved his pets, fishing, especially at Mille Lacs Lake, and was an avid fan of his Minnesota sports teams. Go Vikings! Among many attributes, he will be remembered for his hard work, sensitive heart and incredible sense of humor.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Pam Wagner, Austin; daughters, Lisa Wagner, Austin, and Amy Wagner, Albert Lea, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Gabriel Rembao, Kahliya Carranza, Davion Hunter and Tysean Brown; brother, Terrence (Barb) Wagner, Austin; sisters, Susan (Tom) Peterson, Big Bend, Wisconsin, Mary Beth (Thomas) Green, Spooner, Wisconsin, and Amy Wagner, Austin; sisters-in-law, Donna (Dave) Becker, Mable, Minnesota, Linda Youngmark, Austin, and Peggy Youngmark, New Hope, Minnesota; aunts, Joyce Mallory, Austin, Jeanne Hermanson, Barbara Burke and Gretchen McNamara, Hastings, Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sons, Liam, Nathan and Jacob; infant granddaughter, Malani; brothers-in-law, Ronald Youngmark, Arden Youngmark and Richard Youngmark; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin with Father James Steffes officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. There will be a private interment. Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Care Center.
