The Sustainable Agriculture & Forestry Scholarship Endowment Fund invites qualified students to apply for the upcoming fall season scholarship.

The fund is managed by the Rochester Area Foundation and students will be able to submit applications Jan. 15 to March 30.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide merit-based financial aid to individuals growing up in southeast Minnesota and attending school in the five-state upper midwest and who are committed to sustainability in the fields of agriculture and forestry, have demonstrated leadership and communication skills, and are interested in pursuing a career in sustainable agriculture and/or forestry.

The Fund was established in 2015 and has awarded scholarships to three students so far. These students came from rural Lake City, rural Red Wing, and Rochester.
