Holtz scores game winner for Packer girls in Mankato West

The Austin girls hockey team picked up its second straight overtime win when it knocked off Mankato West (8-7-3 overall, 4-5-1 Big Nine) 3-2 in Mankato Tuesday.
Jordyn McCormack, who had two goals, scored the equalizer in the third period and Lily Holtz won it for the Packers (6-13-1 overall, 3-11-1 Big Nine) when she scored three minutes into the extra session.
Shelby Davidson-Newkirk had 44 saves for Austin.
The Packers have just four regular season games remaining and three of those games are on the road. Austin will host its final home game of the regular season against Rochester Century at 7 p.m. on Jan. 24.
