The Austin girls hockey team lost to Owatonna (6-7-2 overall, 5-3-1 Big Nine) 4-2 in Riverside Arena Thursday.

Jaiden Schuster scored to give the Packers (4-11-1 overall, 1-8 Big Nine) a 1-0 lead in the first and Lily Holtz scored in the third to tie the game at 2-2.

“Penalties killed us. We spent most of the third period playing short handed,” Austin head coach Carley Gruenwald said.
