The Austin girls hockey team picked up its fifth straight win as it beat Rochester Mayo 12-2 on the road Thursday.
Jordyn McCormack had four goals to lead the Packers (9-13-1 overall, 5-11-1 Big Nine), and Hannah McMasters, Kylee Hanlon, Lexi Stich, Kate Holtz, and Jaiden Schuster all had one goal. Eighth graders Sarah Wagnen and Hailee Schaefer each had their first varsity goal in the win.
“It was good to see some of the younger girls get some ice time and put some points on the board,” Austin head coach Carley Grunewald said.
Shelby Davidson-Newkirk had 17 saves for Austin.
Mayo had beaten the Packers 6-3 on Dec. 18.
