A new physician assistant will join the orthopedics team at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin in March.

Kelly Daugherty, P.A.-C., has a Master’s of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida.

Daugherty enjoys the full spectrum of the orthopedics practice, and has a special interest in lower extremities.

“I am excited to begin my work in orthopedics as working with patients to help improve their quality of life has always been a passion of mine,” says Daugherty. “Seeing patients from the start of their journey through the end when they are well enough to return to normal activity is an amazing feeling.”

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his two fur babies, traveling, baking, cooking and reading.
