Akkerman Inc., a family owned third generation company, is seeking qualified candidates to meet production demands. We are seeking an experienced welder for the production of tunneling equipment that is designed to install pipe for the sewer and water industry throughout the world.

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience, and be conscientious, quality-oriented, and able to read prints.  Individuals should have experience in fabrication, problem-solving, torch, plasma cut, as well as MIG and stick welding.  Akkerman welders fabricate a variety of low-volume, highly differentiated heavy weldments.

THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION.  The night shift at Akkerman runs from 4:30PM to 5:00AM Monday through Wednesday nights, with Thursday being overtime if applicable.  A night shift wage premium applies.
