Class to help those with diabetes be healthier
Published 9:07 am Saturday, March 30, 2019
If you live with diabetes and would like to improve your health and sense of well-being, this class is for you.
From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday will be the first of a six-week program “Living Well with Diabetes.” These classes run every Thursday throughout those six weeks.
Even if you know you cannot attend every class, sign up if this could benefit you. Participants make weekly action plans, share experiences and help each other solve problems as they carry out their self-management program.
Family members, friends and partners are welcome. This program is brought to you by Southeastern Minnesota Area Agency on Aging and Quality Improvement Organizations. You can sign up online at yourjuniper.org, stop by the senior center or call 1-507-433-2370.
Defensive driving
At 9 a.m. on Frida, we will hold our next defensive driving class. This is a four-hour refresher class to get a discount on your car insurance. If you have taken the initial eight hour class three years ago, it is time to take the refresher course. To sign up, stop by or call the senior center front desk.
