Rolland John Brady, 90, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at St. Mark’s Living of Austin.

Rolland John Brady, 90

Rolland was born on Jan. 5, 1929, in Garfield, Minnesota, to Frank and Hulda (Scheel) Brady. He attended Austin Public Schools. On Oct. 8, 1949, Rolland was united in marriage to Maxine Huffman in Austin. Together the couple had four daughters: Linda, Marlene, Barbara and Brenda. Rolland was a truck driver for Ulland Bros. for 15 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed fishing at Cedar Lake in Faribault, Minnesota, going south in the winter, and working in the shop at his son-in-law’s. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Brady of Austin; daughters, Linda (Webb) Davis of Austin, Marlene (Robert) Kirsch of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Barbara (Allen) McAlister of Austin and Brenda (Mark) Nilsson of Owatonna, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Sarah Kitzmann, Joe Davis, Hope McAlister, Emily McAlister, Lindsey Wylde and Jesus Jauregui; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Brady of Austin; brothers-in-law, Ronald Huffman of Austin and Kenneth Guckeen of Austin; and sisters-in-law, Wanita Pfeifer of Austin and Marilyn Huffman of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hulda Brady; and two sisters, Shirley Guckeen and Lorraine Krob.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor James Groleau officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be at a later date in Grandview Cemetery in Austin. Memorials can be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin. Services are pre-arranged and performed by Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.
