As the weather warms up so do the spirits of our neighbors and community members and we peek out of our homes for the first time in months. Cheery faces chat in parking lots across Austin  instead of the huddled masses moving from car to door, to car again.

As the weather warms up, everyone is reminded of something else too — our transportation system. Our cars face potholes that popped up over the winter and tires and suspensions suffer.

Walkers and bikers also emerge in the spring warmth to utilize the sidewalks, trails and bike lanes that Austin has to offer.

Drivers, bikers, walkers and all others who transport themselves, be safe this spring, look out for one another and for yourselves.
