Brian K. Miller, 52, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus-Rochester.
Brian was born on April 5, 1966, in Austin.
If you didn’t have the chance to meet Brian, you would have recognized him by his deep blue eyes and his kind soul.
Brian was an avid dart player, lover of music, and collected guitars and stereo equipment. If you ever visited his home, you would have known he was there just by the blasting sounds of rock music. He was an amazing cook, whether it was during his employment years, where he worked as a cook at various local restaurants and bars, or just cooking for family and friends. He used his recipes throughout life to bring family and friends closer together.
His fondest memories included spending time with his father, Butch, driving out on the country roads and taking his children camping in their younger years.
For the ones who had the pleasure of meeting Brian, they could describe him as funny, positive, compassionate and giving family man with whom they had immediately developed a lifelong friendship.
Brian had five children and 15 grandchildren whom he was dedicated to and loved so much, making sure that each and every one of them had their own special bond with him.
Brian is survived by his mother, Diane Miller; sister, Brenda (Bruce) Oakland; daughters, Crista Green, Nicole Green, Candus Green and Amber (Carlos) Bautista; son, Codie Miller; grandchildren, Jacob, Casey, Conner, Caitlyn, Abigail, Amelia, Noah, Sophia, Daisy, Teighlynn, Carson, Riley, Jack, Sebastian and Stephanie; nephew, Nick Miller; Adam Green, whom he considered as a son; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Donald “Butch” Miller; grandparents, Newman and Myrtle Tesdahl; and uncle, Bill Miller.
Our hearts rest knowing he was finally reunited with the love of his life, Angela Underdahl, in Heaven. Love you Frank #Shameless.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Mayer Funeral Home. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com.
