James Surdy receives Certified Financial Planner certification

James (Jamie) Surdy, a financial advisor with Wealth Management Solutions, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., recently obtained the Certified Financial Planner certification.
Surdy successfully completed the rigorous requirements that include coursework and a series of examinations covering financial planning, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.
Individuals with the CFP certification agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and uphold the Code of Ethics and Standard of Professional Conduct developed by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards, Inc. Ameriprise Financial is a leader in financial planning with more CFP professionals than any other firm.
Surdy now holds the certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) certifications. He is an Austin native and graduated from Bemidji State University. He has ten years of experience with Ameriprise Financial.
