Easter may be over, but Austin folks can still get their “Jellybeans” starting this Saturday.

Sweet Reads is hosting a pre-order book party for the children’s book “Jellybeans” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 27.

A charming story written by Kiersten Hall and illustrated by Shaina Ryther is about 35 jellybeans coming together to share a sweet and thoughtful poem about kindness and inclusivity, “Jellybeans” is aimed for readers ages 0 to 8 years. Children will find a message that while the colorful little candies discover their own unique qualities, they realize that ultimately, they all are the same.

Sweet Reads will be the only bookstore where customers can pre-order the book before the official pre-order date in mid-May, as well as get their own personal “Jellybeans” caricature of themselves, drawn by Ryther.
