St. Olaf Lutheran Church Continuing Education Day May 2

St. Olaf Lutheran Church’s annual Continuing Education Day is a day of fun and learning and it will take place on Thursday, May 2, at St. Olaf.

Registration and coffee starts at 9 a.m. followed by a great slate of presentations. The classes start at 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:45 a.m. Individuals can choose two classes from three one-hour classes being offered. This year’s classes are the following:

  • “Update on Scams for Seniors” – Steve Sandvik – Mower County Sheriff
  • “Serbia Travelogue and the Origins of World War I” – Rick and Karen Herreid
  • “Navigating the Medication Maze” – Michael Baker – Mayo Pharmacist

Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. followed at 12:30 p.m. by a keynote presentation by Holly Wallace, Austin City Planning and Zoning Administrator on “The Vision for Austin.”   She will cover the many changes going on in Austin and plans for the future.

The Continuing Education Day will conclude at 1 p.m. Tickets for the event are only $5 for the classes, the lunch and the keynote presentation. Tickets are available at the St. Olaf Church Office or by calling the Church Office at 433-8857.
