There will be an open house to celebrate the 90th birthday of Lela (Madison) Schmidt from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, at the Historic Hormel House in Austin. Family, friends, and former students of Mrs. Schmidt, who taught in Waltham, Brownsdale and Hayfield, are invited to attend. No gifts please.
