Tapp’s RBI lifts Hayfield over NRHEG

The Hayfield baseball team picked up a dramatic win to help its head coach reach a milestone as it beat New Richland-HEG (5-10 overall) 3-2 in Hayfield Tuesday.

Mason Tapp hit a walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning after Jake Risius had tied the game at 2-2 with a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth for the Vikings (16-2 overall).

The win was No. 100 for Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling, who is in his eighth year on the job.
