Have you ever wanted to learn more about the scientists who work at The Hormel Institute?
On Saturday, May 18, the Mentor Connect group is offering tours of The Hormel Institute as well as an opportunity to learn how you can make a difference in a scientist’s life by becoming a Mentor in American culture.
Tours will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon, starting in the front lobby of The Hormel Institute. After a 30-minute tour, visitors can learn more about Mentor Connect in the Ray Live Learning Center. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Pam Hollrah-Asleson at 507-481-4469 or phollrah-asleson@rncandc.com.
Mentor Connect matches community members with research scientists at The Hormel Institute who are new to Austin and/or the United States and are interested in learning more about our community and American culture.
Mentors are people who want to spend time developing a friendship with a scientist. Activities that mentors and scientists have done together include meeting for coffee, having a family dinner, attending an Art Center lesson, or visiting a park
