Vikings win the Gopher Conference title

The Hayfield baseball team wrapped up a Gopher Conference title in its first year in the conference as it beat Maple River (6-13 overall) 2-0 in Hayfield Friday.

Easton Fritcher allowed just one hit to pick up the win for the Vikings (18-2 overall).

Hayfield seized a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Carter Kyllo and Karver Heydt came up with back-to-back two out RBI singles.
