Elizabeth (Betsy) M. Jacobsen, 60, of Luttrell, Tennessee, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Betsy was born Feb. 24, 1959, in Virginia, Minnesota, to Julie and Peter Jacobsen. She graduated as valedictorian from Austin High School in 1977 and went on to graduate from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1982 and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, with a Bachelor of Business Science in accounting in 1987.

Betsy excelled in her career as an accountant. More than anything, Betsy had a love for her family, her horses and her dogs that could be matched by no other. In 2004, Betsy moved to Tennessee, where she resided at the time of her death. Betsy fought a brief but strong battle with oral cancer.

She is survived by her sister, Edie Jacobsen-Barber, Waterville, Minnesota; brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter and Mary and Bob and Janet Jacobsen, Austin; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
