Lunchbox History presentation on The Square Deal

The Mower County Historical Society will feature local author and historian Peggy Keener for its next 2019 Lunchbox History Series talk at noon this Thursday.
Keener will be presenting “Austin’s First Supermarket — The Square Deal!” Keener will share information, photos and stories about The Square Deal, which her grandfather and father owned and operated for many years in downtown Austin.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The presentation is free and will be held in the Pioneer Building at the MCHS.
The MCHS is proud to once again have Mayo Clinic Health System-Albert Lea and Austin as its official sponsor for the 2019 Lunchbox History Series.
The MCHS encourage everyone to “bring your lunch and bring a friend” to learn about history in a relaxing environment during the middle of the day.
