Kirby throws a no-hitter as Hounds open playoffs with a win

The Austin Greyhounds opened their best-of-three playoff series with an 8-0 win over Dodge County in Hayfield Thursday night.
John Kirby pithced a no-hitter for the Hounds and Alex Ciola drove in three runs.
The Hounds will host Dodge County in game two in Marcusen Park at 7 p.m. Saturday.
If Austin wins that game, it advances. If the Hounds lose, they’ll play an elimination game in Marcusen at 5 p.m. Sunday.
