15-year-old arrested after threatening violence at Albert Lea High School on social media

Albert Lea police arrested a 15-year-old girl Tuesday after she allegedly wrote and shared a post on social media threatening violence at Albert Lea High School.
According to a press release, the Albert Lea Police Department received a call in reference to a Snapchat post at 5:46 p.m. The department also received several other calls from concerned people regarding the post, which indicated she wanted to “shoot up” the high school.
The girl was arrested for felony threats of violence and was transported to a juvenile detention center, pending her first court appearance, the press release stated.
