Steve James, 61

Steve James, 61, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at his home.
He was born in Cañon City, Colorado, and lived there for many years until he met the love of his life, Deb, and started a family. Steve had three children and they eventually made their way to St. Ansgar. He worked the last 30 years as a supervisor at Quality Pork Processing in Austin, Minnesota. Steve spent his free time playing golf, watching any and all sports on TV (particularlyfFootball), recently attending the Saints football games to cheer on his eldest grandchildren, enjoying many outings with co-workers and friends, and most of all, spending time with (and spoiling) all of his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his wife, Deb; children, Jeremy (Andrea) James, Jennifer (Mike) Moorehead and Justin (Caitlin) James; grandchildren, Gage, Ashton, Jayce, Keegan, Neveah, Jase, Jax and Charlye; father, Oscar (Doreen) James; brother, Russ (Tammy) James; sister, Pam Antunez; brother, Ronnie (Tammy) Geisler; and many aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleo (Ray) Geisler; mother, Jeanne Stanly; sister, Sue, and her husband, Dennis Robbins; and brother, Bob Geisler.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at the American Legion in St. Ansgar. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar is assisting the family. Condolences may be left online at www.schroederandsites.com.
