September has arrived and we are already noticing the change in color in our beautiful tree.
On Sept. 14, we will head to Harriet Island in St. Paul and board the Paddleford River Boat.
This four-hour cruise will go through Lock and Dam No. 1, with music as we float down the river and feast on a noon buffet.
Our motorcoach will depart at 8 a.m. from the south side of Walmart. We will board the riverboat at 10:30 a.m. The tour will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This trip is currently filled but cancellations do happen.
Sept. 28: Cranberry Fest in Warrens, Wisconsin. This event is like no other. There will be over 850 arts and craft vendors, 350 antique and flea market, farmers market booths in the abundance. Warrens really pulls out all stops with music, food demos and the chance to tour some of their local cranberry bogs and visit the Ocean Spray plant.
We will depart at 7 a.m. and return about 7:30 p.m. This unique fall festival is one you will want to attend. Sign-ups are ongoing now.
Oct. 8: Travel Show at 5 p.m. at the Mower County Senior Center. We are excited to announce that we have planned and set a date for our second travel riverboat cruise. This will be “Jewels of the Rhine” featuring the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland. The cruise is set Oct. 10-20, 2020. Information is available at the senior center or call 1-507-438-3946. Tours are opened to members and non-members.
Oct. 31 to Nov.1: Fireside Theater Christmas Show. Following the dinner feast, we will see “A Christmas Story,” produced as a musical. This theater is rated one of the best with its professional entertainers and cuisine in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
