Austin High School inducts National Honor Society members

National Honor Society is a nationwide organization dedicated to recognizing students who excel in academics, leadership, service and character. Austin High School has a very active membership, performing more than 1,300 service hours each year in addition to demonstrating leadership qualities and maintaining a minimum 3.6 unweighted grade point average.
Our annual Induction Ceremony was held Oct. 21 with Mr. Geoff Smith, President of IBI Data, serving as our guest speaker. AHS Principal Andrea Malo also participated in the ceremony, which was lead by NHS President Kiley Kusick.
The following students were inducted into Austin High School’s Chapter of the National Honor Society: Siri Ansorge, Eliana Bentley, Casey Berg, Ava Boverhuis, Cole Cannon, LiLiana Ceballos Reyes, Wren Clinefelter, Emma Crowley, Madison Crowley, Chloe Emberson, Kory Engelstad, Molly Garry, Jackson Goetz, Riley Haugen, Natalie Haynes, Vy Hoang, Madison Hogan, Olivia Johnson, Emily Keenan, Alysa Manahan, Ayden Manahan, Jackson Marsh, Jordyn McCormack, Nay Meh, Maria Morey, Jadyn Moriarty, Troy Myers, Lauren Riskedahl, Emma Rosheim, Chloe Schmitt, Olivia Shapinsky, Molly Sheehan, Katie Shin, Toria Strampe, Micha Weber, Briella Wempner, and Lauren Wernimont.

Trick or Treating for Cans
The National Honor Society will be trick or treating for nonperishable food donations for the local Salvation Army Food Shelf on Halloween night. Please consider donating to this cause as it greatly helps those in our community.
