Jaycees host All-State Convention

The Austin Jaycees hosted JCI Minnesota’s Fall All-State Convention at the Holiday Inn over the weekend of Oct. 18-20, including JCI National President Tricia Buehne, JCI National President-elect Justin Wutske, JCI National Vice-President and Austin Jaycees member Amie Klouse, and JCI Minnesota President Dean Carstensen. Members from Jaycees chapters from all over the state attended.
During the weekend, members experienced valuable training as well as recognition of their achievements since May. Austin walked away with a number of well-deserved recognition. The Austin Jaycees earned a slot as the No. 5 Top Chapter in Minnesota, Kimberly Bryant earned Top Chapter President for the quarter, and Chuck Valek was honored as the Top Alumni. The Austin Holiday Inn and Klouse Concrete Construction each earned a Supporting Business Award for the help they have provided the Austin Jaycees with projects.
Karen Diaz was honored as a Statesman, the highest award from JCI Minnesota, for her continued work with the Jaycees organization. Both Kimberly Bryant and Scott Bryant were each honored with a Senator Award, the highest honor from the international Jaycees organization.
