Two were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after their vehicles collided Tuesday morning.
According to Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May, a 1989 Ford F150 driven by Michael Madison, 29, of rural Austin was heading westbound at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday on 240th Street when it approached an uncontrolled intersection with 600th Avenue. Madison failed to yield the right of way to a southbound 2015 Mack 700 dump truck and the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the dump truck to tip over onto its side.
Both vehicles were damaged and were towed from the sight. Madison and the driver of the dump truck, Dale Whitted, 62, of Zumbrota, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin with non-life threatening injuries.
Madison was cited for driving after revocation of his license.
