Best Bets: Part Time Ex’s to rock in Austin; Group to play as part of the Music @ The Bank concert series

St. Paul-based musical act Part Time Ex’s will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Austin ArtWorks Center as part of the Music @ The Bank concert series.

Coming from an extensive background of musical influences, Part Time Ex’s features Austin natives Jon Stowell (singer/guitar) and Nick Tobar (guitar). Other members include Ben Greenwald on bass, John Hicks on drums and Ben “B Flat” Hering on trumpet.

Concert goers can expect a wide variety of music, ranging from blues to surf rock, country to heavy metal.

Stowell called their shows “a rollicking and spirited affair,” adding, “Don’t take it from me; come and see for yourself.”

Part Time Ex’s have performed in Austin in the past. They recently released their 4-song self-titled debut EP, which can be downloaded here.

Admission to Saturday’s concert is $5; a cash beer and wine bar available.
