Letter: City thanks The Hormel Foundation

Dear members of The Hormel Foundation Board:
The City of Austin was recently awarded over $843,000 of grants from The Hormel Foundation for projects that will benefit the citizens of our community. The generous contributions, including drones for law enforcement and smoke detectors for the fire department, shows your commitment to the safety of our citizens. Additionally, the funding you have provided for recreational opportunities, the Fourth of July celebration, and Interstate 90 bridge enhancements will provide our citizens and businesses one more reason to be proud of the community in which they live, work, and play.
Once again, THANK YOU for the support The Hormel Foundation has given the citizens of Austin over the years and into the future.
Most Gratefully,
Thomas A. Stiehm, Mayor
