Nine teams played duplicate bridge at the Mower County Senior Center in Austin.

First place, Joyce Crowe and Millie Siever; second place, John Leisen and Rick Stroup; third place, Sue Mann and Gail Nelson; fourth place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters

Five teams placed all within only a point and a half from first place team.

Plans have been made to have a Christmas party  at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. All players are invited to enjoy pizza provided by the group. Everyone should bring a snack or goodies to share. Play will resume at noon.

Players come from Mason City, Iowa, Albert Lea, Adams, Austin and Rose Creek. The  welcome mat is always out for anyone who might want to play this competitive game.
