As 2019 comes to a close, we too will be taking a break so everyone here can enjoy family time.

The Travel Office and the Mower County Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Christmas Day) as well as on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2020.

The Travel Office will remain closed in January and February, but we can be reached by phone if necessary.

The last Wednesday in February, we will once again host what we call The Big Minnesota Coffee Party. Invite a friend or two and join us at no charge for a hot beverage and a goodie. This is open to the public and will be held at the Senior Center, located at 400 Third Ave. NE in the main dining room.

This is also the day that we will reveal the schedule of travel which is being offered in 2020.

Sign-ups begin this day also. We are looking forward to another busy  and fun year of travels,  which many of you have suggested.

We are indeed fortunate to have such a full service Senior Center in our town which offers travel for seniors (and others).

My Holiday Greeting to you

Just a few days before Christmas

And I’m surely aware,

Santa will be coming

So I’d better be prepared,

The cards are mailed

and cookies I’ve baked,

I’m just waiting now

for presents to take.

Under our tree and to

some shut-ins too,

To remember special people,

Like, You, You, and You.

Time also to remember

our soldiers

who can’t be home,

as each family just waits by the phone.

For me and Mine,

2019 has been great,

We looking forward to

more trips to take.

2020 will soon be here
