Jordan DeLaMater is a senior gymnast for the Packers.
Q: What sports do you compete in?
A: Gymnastics.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: Competing at the state tournament for the first time ever as a seventh-grader.
Q: What have you learned from sports?
A: I have learned to work hard every day and constantly be supportive of all my teammates.
Q: What is the hardest part about sports?
A: The injuries and being able to push through the pain to be able to walk away feeling accomplished. Especially since gymnastics is revolved around failure.
Q: How do you keep your focus when competing?
A: Knowing that I’m doing this for my team so I need to try to do my best every time I am competing.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
A: Shawn Johnson, because she was exposed to elite gymnastics at a very young age which is very time consuming as well as huge commitment.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: “Fear Factor.”
Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone in history, who would it be?
A: Albert Einstein.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Nuclear medicine technologist .
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chicken alfredo.
Q: What is your favorite song?
A: “I hope” by Gabby Barrett
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: Attend UMR for the Nuclear Medicine program
Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
A: To be able to read other people’s minds.
