Health care scholarships offered to high school seniors

High school students interested in pursuing an education in health care have several chances of helping finance their future education with help from Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.
Mayo Clinic Health System has announced plans to award 10 health care scholarships valued at $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors in its service area interested in a future job in the health care field.
All scholarships are provided on the basis of leadership, commitment, character and academic ability. Complete scholarship information and applications are available from counselors in area high schools or on the Mayo Clinic Health System website at www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org. Under locations, choose “Austin,” and click “Online Services” and then “Scholarships.”
In addition, the Mayo Clinic Health System Auxiliary in Austin will award three $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the service area interested in pursuing an education in health care.
Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Those receiving scholarships will be notified in early April.
