As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, the decision has been made to expand the suspension of classes through May 4 for schools throughout the state.
With this news, Austin Public Schools has announced it will continue its food distribution program for children ages 1-18. Buses will be at several locations throughout Austin from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday through May 4. There will be no food distribution on April 10 and children will be provided with bag lunch and breakfast for the following day.
Meals can be picked up by the student or parent/guardian.
For children with special dietary needs, parents are encouraged to call 1-507-460-1919 before 9:30 a.m. to inform the district and get information on where they will be able to pick up the meal.
