Austin grad Duoth Gach was recently named Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Year.

Gach, a sophomore at North Dakota State College of Science, is the sixth Wildcat in the eight past seasons to win the award and is the first Austin grad to do so.

Gach averaged 21.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 53 percent from the field and 50 percent on three-pointers.

Gach and the Wildcats had their season end in an 86-83 loss to Miles Community College in the Regional semifinals.

Gach had 21 points, three assists and three steals. He finishes with 190 career three-pointers, an NDSCS record.
