Austin Positive Action Coalition is expanding a spirit campaign it began two weeks ago when they partnered with the Austin High School student council on a “virtual spirit week” campaign. The campaign is centered around a hashtag created by students, “#TogetherApartAustin2020.” The yard sign campaign is in full swing with campaign style yard signs sprinkled around Austin.

“We have heard that these are uncertain times so we wanted to boost spirits,” said Bill Spitzer, APAC Coordinator. “We hope these signs can serve as a reminder that this crisis is only temporary and we will overcome this obstacle.”

Five different versions of the #TogetherApartAustin2020 yard signs are located throughout the Austin community. People are encouraged to take a “selfie” with the sign and post on social media with the hashtag #TogetherApartAustin2020 when they are outside walking or traveling to those essential locations while practicing social distancing.
