Nine new COVID-19 cases confirmed Thursday in Mower County

The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed nine more cases of COVID-19 in Mower County Thursday morning, bringing the total to 87 confirmed cases since March 19.

Statewide, the MDH reported 539 new cases, bringing the totals to 18,200 since March 6. Of those, 2,120 are health care workers, 12,488 no longer need isolation, and 566 were hospitalized on Thursday, including 229 in intensive care.

The MDH also reported 32 deaths on Thursday, bringing the state’s total to 809 since March 21. Of those, 670 have been individuals aged 70 years and older and 663 have been residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
