Seeking her ninth term to the Minnesota House of Representatives, Rep. Jeanne Poppe filed for reelection this week at the Mower County Government Center. First elected to office in 2004, Poppe believes her experience and perspective is needed now more than ever at the legislature.

Rep. Jeanne Poppe (DFL-27B)

“The challenge of COVID-19 is being felt across every sector of our economy, disrupting the daily lives of each and every member of our community, and its full impact won’t be felt for months,” she said. “While we were able to come together and take steps to provide support for affected workers, businesses, farmers, and families, we have much more to do. My time at the legislature has allowed me to develop strong relationships with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and these partnerships will be vital to finding agreement and continuing to build on our work this year.”

Poppe currently serves as the Chair of the House Agriculture and Food Finance and Policy Division Committee. She also serves on the Greater Minnesota Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, Housing Finance and Policy Division, and the Ways and Means Committee.
