Jesus took the hand of Tina Michelle Glasby (Nelson), 54, of Brainerd, formerly of Austin, and led her home on May 28, 2020. A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Nelson – Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.
Tina was born February 6, 1966 in Clarksville, TN. She was the daughter of David and Carolyn Nelson. She and her sisters enjoyed growing up on a farm. After graduating from high school, she continued her education and completed her Graphic Design degree. She worked for many years as a Certified Nurse’s Aide, as well as for Quality Pork Processors.
Tina was a big-hearted, caring women who cherished her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than a room full of family. She was fun, quick-witted, and skilled at delivering one-liners. Tina loved to shop garage sales, and she was successful at selling her finds on EBAY for more money. She used her artistic talents to build and design dollhouses and create pigs from pots. She enjoyed traveling with Bernie, especially when they visited Duluth. She truly was an amazing woman who never shied away from sharing her thoughts and opinions or from giving you a big smile that came from her heart.
She will be missed by her husband, Bernie; children, Corey (Alicia Guenther) Nelson and Courtney (Steven Clark) Nelson; dad, David (Pat Rivet) Nelson; step-children, Sarah (Shaun) O’Brien and Christopher (Katie) Glasby; grandchildren, Blayke, Liam, Anthony, Autumn, Lily, Adeline,
Brantley, and Riley; siblings, Peggy (Gary) Hanson, Sherry (Roger) Staupe; and Carey (Fred) Bos; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mom, Carol and the father of her children, Doug Freese. She is now resting peacefully in her mother’s arms.
