The Austin Bruins and Rochester Grizzlies are starting a U16 and U18 fall hockey team called the Southern Minnesota Bears.

The team will train 20 hours per week and will receive instruction from the Grizzlies and Bruins coaching staffs. The Bears will compete in three NAHPL showcases and various scrimmages.

The teams will run their season from Aug. 17 to mid-October.
