A large swath of southern Minnesota including Mower, Dodge and Steele counties have been placed into a severe thunderstorm watch through midnight tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, storms are expected to develop across a large part of the state bringing with it a chance of large hail, heavy rains and damaging winds. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out either.
