Cody James Crowley, 32, of Lansing, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Cody was born on June 28th, 1991, in Austin, Minnesota. He spent his childhood traveling and adventuring with his mother, Jane Crowley, who loved him since day one. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and playing “farm.” He learned the value of hard work early from his Shopper route, riding along with his grandpa on the beer truck, and raising his own pigs at 10 years old.
On August 15th, 2020, he married a sweet farm girl just like his grandma Jackie, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Kaycee (Lukes) Crowley. They lived together in Lansing with their dogs Rex and Kirby, in the house his grandparents built. They enjoyed many road trips around the US finding the oldest family owned restaurants and learning the history of the cities, but also emphasized the importance of enjoying the simple things together, like doing yard projects, going for sunset four wheeler rides, grilling and spending time with their friends and the ones they loved.
Cody loved supporting local, small town businesses and worked very hard to build his own trucking business. He was never more proud than when he was driving his spotless ‘98 Kenworth hauling livestock. He was a loyal, hardworking, old soul, who lived fast and loved life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Jackie Crowley, whom he loved very much.
He is survived by his loving wife: Kaycee Crowley, mother: Jane Crowley, father: Jerry and Lynn Sather, half-brother: Grant Sather, uncle: Dan Crowley, uncle: Randy Sather, cousins: Emma and Madison Crowley, and Stephanie, Scott and Shaun Sather.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11am Saturday, October 28th, (a Saturday because Cody would not want anybody to miss a day of work) at Queen of Angels Church in Austin, MN with Father Raul Silva officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation prior to the funeral, from 9-11am at Queen of Angels. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Church in Waltham, MN immediately following the service.
If friends or family are interested in ways to honor Cody’s memory – support local family businesses, call your grandparents just to chat, use your jake brake, donate blood, or donate to Firefighters For Healing for burn victims.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
