Arlene M. St. Arnaud, 87

Arlene M. St. Arnaud, age 87, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Our House Memory Care in Austin. Arlene Mildred Seavey was born on December 21, 1935, to her parents, Everett and Esther (Badencheir) Seavey, in Brownsdale, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Austin High School with the class of 1953. Arlene married LaVerne St. Arnaud on August 11, 1958, in Austin, Minnesota. She worked at St. Olaf Hospital until she moved to Minneapolis in the early 1960s. The couple raised their daughter, Cherie St. Arnaud, in the Minneapolis area. After LaVerne’s death Arlene returned to Austin to be closer to her family. She enjoyed going out to eat, watching television, and making crafts, especially beading. She especially liked cats and was a Humane Society volunteer. She enjoyed attending Sacred Heart Daycare. Arlene will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Cherie St. Arnaud of Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Marlene Seavey of Austin; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Esther Seavey; husband, LaVerne St. Arnaud in 1985; sister, Carol (Vince) Klein; and brother, Gene Seavey.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota at a later date. Services are prearranged and performed by Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.
