Patty E. Madison, 91

Patty Ellen Madison, age 91, of Mapleview, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Methodist Campus. Patty Bowers was born July 9, 1932, in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Ruth (Spencer) Bowers. She attended country school and high school in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. On October 6, 1949, she was united in marriage to Albert Madison in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Following their marriage, the couple raised their family in various homes throughout the Wisconsin and Austin areas and in 1967 moved to their home in Mapleview. Patty was a wonderful homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She did a lot of babysitting for many, many children. In her leisure time, Patty enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cards, bingo, Farkle, and reading. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Roy (Donna) Madison of Austin, MN, Don (Susan) Madison of Austin, MN, and Ruth Klitzke of Austin; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Raymond) Nelson of Lindstrom; and brother-in-law, Wally Koenig of Turtle Lake, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth Bowers; husband, Albert Madison; sisters, Pauline and Palma; brothers, Pearl, Perry, and Philip (Betty); son-in-law, Roger Klitzke; and grandson, David Madison.

A funeral service for Patty will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Sunday. A private family interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association. Services are prearranged and performed by Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.
