Richard (Dick) Deick, 91

Richard (Dick) W. Deick 91, passed away on November 22, 2023, at Yorkshire of Edina in the company of his loving family.

Dick was born on November 19th, 1932, in Austin, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1950. He worked until he was drafted into the army from 1953 – 1955. In 1955 he attended Mankato State College and graduated in 1960 with a double degree in Business Administration and Economics. Dick and Arlene were married on August 23, 1958, they had three children. Dick had a successful career working for Honeywell, Long Lok Fastener, and starting his own business, Fastener Specialties, to name a few. During retirement, he enjoyed spending most of his time with his wife, children, and his 6 grandchildren.

Dick is survived by their three children, Thomas Deick (Carol), Timothy Deick (Valerie), Jennifer Anderson (Deick) (Christopher); six grandchildren, Rachel Deick, (Ryan) Ashley Martinson (Deick) (Alec), Joshua, and Jeremy Deick, Courtney, and Tyler Anderson; and one great-grandchild Ruby Martinson; and his siblings Gary Deick (Gloria), and Nancy Quinn (Deick) (John).

Dick is preceded in death by his wife Arlene, parents Frank and Gertrude, his sisters Florence, Joyce, and Shirley and his brother Elmer.

Services will be held at the Church of St. Patrick – Edina, MN January 18th at 11:00am

Lunch will be served following mass in the Mahon Center at 12:00pm

Burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:30pm
