Veverka, Robert Edward: With great sorrow we announce the passing of Robert Edward Veverka on December 14th, 2023. Born on April 4th, 1936, in Austin Minnesota. Robert was the son of Edward and Alma Veverka (Gunderson) who preceded him in death.

After a stint in the US Army, Robert earned a BA degree from St Thomas University, J.D. from Notre Dame University and an MBA from Fresno State University. He practiced corporate law for a short time working for Burlington Northern before pivoting to teaching business law at St Thomas University.

Retiring from teaching in 1992, Robert traveled, lived part time in Deerwood and a regular at the various theaters and orchestra events in the Twin Cities.

Robert Is survived by his sister Jean Hall (Veverka) of Seattle Washington, brother Michael Veverka of Minneapolis and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Robert’s family remembers him as brilliant, committed and compassionate person who believed deeply in the power of education.
