Louise “Rita” Brandenburg, 97

Louise “Rita” Brandenburg, age 97, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at St. Mark’s Living in Austin. Rita was born in 1926, to Franciso and Dorina Rossi in Framingham, Massachusetts. She was united in marriage to Donald Brandenburg in Framingham. The couple moved to Austin where Rita was employed with Hormel Foods for 35 years. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Rita enjoyed reading, crocheting, and ice skating.

Rita leaves many nieces, nephews, and treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franciso and Dorina Rossi; and her husband, Donald Brandenburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Austin. Memorials are preferred to Catholic charities of donor’s choice. Mayer-Hoff Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
