Mayo Clinic Health System received national recognition from Healthgrades, a leading healthcare consumer resource, for its commitment to exceptional patient care.
Over 830 hospitals were assessed by Healthgrades, with only 79 achieving both the 2024 Patient Safety and Patient Experience Awards.
Among these distinguished facilities is Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minnesota, reinforcing its reputation for delivering outstanding patient care across all domains.
Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and Albert Lea, Minnesota, was awarded the 2024 Patient Safety Excellence Award, while Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, were recognized with the 2024 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
“We are honored by this acknowledgment and remain dedicated to continually improving the care we provide to everyone in our community. These recognitions reflect our outstanding staff and their commitment to excellence and providing Mayo Clinic care close to home,” says Prathibha Varkey, M.B.B.S, president of Mayo Clinic Health System.
Hospitals receiving the Patient Safety Excellence Award ranked among the top 10% nationally. This recognition is based on an analysis of 13 patient safety indicators measured through MedPAR data.
The Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes healthcare facilities that excel in fostering clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families. This reflects the quality of interactions between healthcare providers and patients, along with understanding and fulfilling patient needs throughout their care journey.
