Return of snow prompts winter weather advisory starting tonight

With close to five inches of snow possible, the National Weather Service will place the area into a winter weather advisory starting tonight and heading into late tomorrow morning.
The advisory will go into effect at 10 p.m. tonight and will stretch through to 10 a.m. Friday morning. According to the NWS, 2 to 4 inches is possible with another one inch of snow possible later into Friday morning.

People should expect slippery road conditions.
It’s only part of the story, however, as another system lines up behind it for this weekend, although snow totals remain low at around half an inch of snow possible starting Saturday night. The snow will eventually transition into a possible rain/snow mix Sunday into Monday with rain likely Monday night.
