Beverly Reller

Beverly Reller passed away Thursday April 4, 2024 at St. Mark’s Assisted Living. Beverly was born May 22, 1936 to Herbert Jensen & Matilda Neuman in Ledyard, Iowa. She was raised by her uncle & aunt Carl & Marie Fisherback. She grew up in the Paynesville, Minn area and graduated from high school in 1954. She married Roger Reller on October 1, 1956. They were married over 65 years and raised 4 children. They moved from Minneapolis, Mn to Austin when Roger finished barber school. She began working in Austin Public Schools in 1967. She started out selling lunch tickets & ice cream at Ellis. She worked her way up to head cook at Austin High School, retiring in 2001. She also worked part time at the American Legion. She belonged to Queen of Angels & St. Augustine parishes. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, reading, golfing, bowling, & traveling. She was a loving mother & grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Herb Jensen, Matilda Neuman Lappe, Carl & Marie Fisherback; husband Roger; great grandson Aidan Hegge; sister Barbara McGuire, and brothers Bob Lappe & Don Lappe. She is survived by children: Karen (Randy) Shamp; Michael (Deanna) Reller; David (Katherine) Reller; Kathy (Tad Eastman)Lange. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Hegge; Adam (Lindy) Shamp; Dan (Ashley) Reller; Nate (Jessica) Reller; Nick (Marissa Rose) Reller; Nicole (Josh) Blace; Natalie (Matt Borgschatz) Lange; Chelsea Lange; & Rebecca Reller; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.; siblings: Duane Lappe & Diane Hutchinson. Funeral will be held Saturday April 20, 2024 at St Augustine Church. Visitation at the church 9:30am; funeral 10:30am.
